The Berger Hunting bullet line features VLD match grade bullets that have the highest possible ballistic coefficient designed for 300 yards or more. Berger recommends that the bullets be seated to touch the rifling for best accuracy. Note, however, that the resulting cartridge overall length may be too long for some magazines. The VLD design incorporates a sharp nose that allows the bullet to penetrate 2" to 3" before it starts to expand. After the initial expansion, the bullet will shed between 40% and 85% of its weight as shrapnel into the surrounding tissue (internal organs). The combination between the shrapnel and the hydrostatic shock produces a massive wound cavity within the vital area that will be 13" - 15" long. This is not loaded ammunition.

    Every group I shoot at a hundred yards you can cover with a dime if I do my part. Then they preform fantastic out to a1000 yds in my 6.5 Creedmoore. For reloading in seating depth to ogive is within .005 all the time. I have also have used these out to 600yds with great terminal power on Elk.

    Friends and myself shoot a variety of rifles, from precision to hunting. We all choose Berger, when we compete against each other. We handload and all of our guns shoot less than one MOA with the Berger.

    Not a lot of factory loaded ammo out there for the 26 nosler to pick from. Shot nosler trophy grade 129 ablr, 140ab, and 142ablr, through my new Christensen 26 nosler and couldn't get a group under 1.5 inchs . Started reloading 140 bergers and was instantly shooting groups that were tight 1/2 in . These bullets are awsome !!!!
