The Berger Hunting bullet line features VLD match grade bullets that have the highest possible ballistic coefficient designed for 300 yards or more. Berger recommends that the bullets be seated to touch the rifling for best accuracy. Note, however, that the resulting cartridge overall length may be too long for some magazines. The VLD design incorporates a sharp nose that allows the bullet to penetrate 2" to 3" before it starts to expand. After the initial expansion, the bullet will shed between 40% and 85% of its weight as shrapnel into the surrounding tissue (internal organs). The combination between the shrapnel and the hydrostatic shock produces a massive wound cavity within the vital area that will be 13" - 15" long. This is not loaded ammunition.

Accurate and great service
I emailed Bob on deciding which bullet to use. The 168 vld is a good choice. In my 7-06ai at 3020 fps shooting 1/4 inch at 100 and 1/2 inch at 250 yds. Bob was a big help and shipping was fast. Can't wait to hunt with it. John Myers

Deadly Accurate
Shooting these bullets out of a 7mm mag custom, sub minute accuracy at 3050 fps, great bullet! Great service and fast shipping makes them even better.

Absolutely fantastic service!
To be quite honest I have not even loaded up any of these rounds just yet, but I had to write a review based on my experiences with The Extreme Store itself. Guys, I ordered these bullets on 11/24/13 and on 11/27/13 they were in my mailbox....in Texas. I have used Berger bullets before, so I know that they perform. What I did not know was what to expect from The Extreme Store itself, and I have to say that they have exceeded my expectations. The prices are good, the bullets were in stock (which is hard to say right now, they are HARD to find), and the shipping time was phenomenal. I put up a post on the Long Range Hunting forum about the fact that The Extreme Store had these bullets in stock, and I am happy to say that I am the second person to comment on the service as another gentleman received his order today and he is in Michigan. Cannot recommend more.
