The Extreme Pod Bipod is the first half of the most effective, lightweight, diverse shooting system. Determined to stay in the lead of originality, the crew at Rugged Ridge Outdoor Gear put their heads together to solve the final phase of a long range hunters shooting platform dilemma, the rear rest.
Until now wobbly elbows, heavy sand bags, and rolled up coats have been an accepted solution of supporting the rear portion of the rifle. The day has come that we can say goodbye to these sloppy techniques and rely on true American made mechanical advantage. We are proud to present the “Extreme Rear Support System – E.R.S.S”

Rugged ridge outdoors rear rifle rest
Best rear rest for hunting I have used. Light weight and adjustable. I have used these in the field on many hunts and will not be in the field hunting without the EOL front bipod or rear rest. Bob and Chris Beck are awesome people with awesome products!

Great for Bench Shooting, Real Life Not So Much
Great design, well made, lightweight, etc. etc. The problem is that if you are lying prone and your target is even slightly lower than you, this thing isn't tall enough to support the rear of the rifle. I tried everything from moving the ERSS further up the stock to closing the ERSS to make it taller (of course then it's a flimsy support). Great idea and concept but in the real world, this thing is worthless to me. I will say that maybe with the Extreme Store bipod it is possible the ERSS would work better; However, I use a Hatch bipod with sits at 6.5 inches at it's lowest height. I don't think it should make a difference what bipod you use but if it does, then you should advertise that you need to buy both products for the ERSS to work correctly. Wish I could give it a better review but was wasted $125 for me

RROG rear rest
This is a very well made product and very sturdy. Works well on the bench and in the field replacing heavy bags. This is very light and makes for easy packing into the field for hunting or target shooting.
