Rugged Ridge Extreme Pod Gen 3 Bipod – 7”–10”

Built for shooters who live in the prone, the Extreme Pod Gen 3 (7”–10”) is the most compact and lightweight option in the lineup. Designed to keep your rifle low, stable, and fast to deploy, this bipod excels in prone shooting, bench setups, and ultralight hunting applications where every ounce matters.

At the core is a true ball-and-socket system that delivers full 360° pan and infinite adjustability, allowing you to stay on target without fighting terrain. Carbon fiber legs reduce weight without sacrificing strength, while the push-button deployment system ensures you're ready to shoot instantly.

The lever-lock tension system allows for precise adjustment and quick locking, giving you a stable shooting platform without the need to preload the bipod—making it more forgiving in real-world conditions.

Key Features:

  • Ball-and-socket head with full 360° pan
  • Infinite adjustability for uneven terrain
  • Lightweight carbon fiber telescoping legs
  • Push-button rapid deployment
  • Lever-lock tension system with return-to-center feel
  • Picatinny and ARCA mounting compatibility

Literally Even Better than Described or Expected, Seriously.

Posted by Spencer Brannon on Oct 11th 2017

I'm not sure I've even got the words, which is rare, to adequately describe this bipod, it's simply incredible. My only complaint which I'll air out early is that the feet aren't perhaps as tacky or made with soft enough rubber to grip like I'd prefer. That's it. That's the only negative. The thing is built like a well engineered piece of spacecraft equipment. I'm someone who is used to using and abusing my beloved Atlas bipods so this was certainly a departure from what I'm used to and I couldn't be more pleased. The legs extend easily but not so easily that they slide out too quickly. They fold out with a stiff and positive mechanical "click" that you can hear and most importantly feel. When you throw the lever just a tiny amount however is where this bipod comes alive and truly separates itself from every other bipod in the world. With little more than a slight movement of the lever you get to experience the ball and socket which is the real heart and soul of this bipod. All of a sudden you are able to pivot forward to shoot downhill, cant from left to right and swivel to cover everything that might move in front of you. It's like being born all over again with new super abilities when you've spent a lifetime behind "normal" or conventional bipods. What once would have required big full body moves, resetting the rifle, getting back behind and getting comfortable now is able to be done with a half inch movement of a lever within easy reach. Sounds so simple I know, but once you're behind your rifle, settled in on your glass and get to experience it, it becomes something you'll not soon forget. Like probably every other shooter who gets to use this thing it boggles my mind why no one has thought of this before. And to be honest, perhaps they have and just haven't executed like Extreme. Whatever the case is this is simply the finest bipod your money can and will likely ever buy. And to be super clear I'm not in any way tied to Extreme, they don't sponsor me, I paid the same price as everyone else and had to wait for it's release like everyone else. I'm just one "extremely" satisfied client who can't give enough praise to this item and try to let everyone I come in contact with get a few minutes behind this thing to truly appreciate why. So if you're debating between high-end bipods like this one, Atlas etc. I assure you that you won't be disappointed going this route as this thing will do all the Atlas and the like will do PLUS. Literally even better than described or expected. Seriously.

Built Like A Tank, Light As A Feather

Posted by SANDY SMITH on Jan 7th 2016

Very pleased with how well it is built and its ease of adjustments. It took the place of Harris that I will move to a different caliber weapon. It will be mounted to a wooden stock which will require a little modification and few extra dollars to but should be worth every penny. Like others have stated it's a little expensive especially when it does not come with the necessary mounting pic rail adapter. Except for the expense I would like to have one on all my rifles. Great Product and would highly recommend to anyone looking to improve their long range shooting and hunting. Thanks to Bob and Chris for their help in finding the BT34 adapter to mount it to my rifle.
