Classic Hunter exists for factory rifles. It's built to SAAMI overall length, so it feeds from an unmodified magazine and seats without a long throat — the two things that stop most people running Berger hunting bullets in a stock rifle. You give up some BC against the VLD and Elite Hunter to get that.
Its G7 form factor is 0.913. Anything under 1.0 means less drag than the G7 standard, and 0.913 puts this among the more efficient bullets Berger makes — it holds velocity and shrugs off wind better than its weight alone suggests.
Check your twist first. Berger specifies a 1:8" minimum for this bullet. Slower than that and you may still get groups, but you will not get the published BC — the bullet has to be fully asleep to fly to its numbers.
