17.5" Leg Extensions for The Extreme Pod

The honest limitation of any bipod is that it assumes you can get prone. Plenty of country does not allow it. Waist-high sage, tall grass, snow, standing crop, or ground that slopes the wrong way will all put the target behind cover the moment you lie down — and the shot you have been walking toward all morning evaporates.

These screw onto the bottom of the existing legs and lift the rifle to a height you can shoot from seated. That is the whole idea, and it is a better answer than owning a second, taller bipod: you keep the head, the pan, the lock lever, and the leg adjustment you already know, and you add height only when the ground demands it.

They are carbon fibre, so the weight penalty for carrying them is small, and they come off as easily as they go on. Leave them fitted for a morning of glassing over brush, or stow them in a pack pocket and forget about them until the country changes.

The 17.5-inch length is the tall option — it is aimed squarely at getting from prone height to a genuine seated shooting position. If you only need a modest lift, the 5.5-inch version exists for that.
