Extreme Pod (bipod) Picatinny Rail Kit 2-1/8"

The Extreme Pod mounts to a Picatinny rail. Most hunting rifle stocks do not have one — they have a front sling stud, which is what bipods have historically clamped to. This is the part that bridges that gap, and if you are buying an Extreme Pod for a conventional hunting rifle, you very likely need it.

It is machined to standard Picatinny dimensions, so it accepts the bipod's quick-detach clamp properly rather than approximately, which matters: a rail cut slightly out of spec lets the bipod shift under recoil, and a bipod that shifts is worse than no bipod at all because you will trust it. Rugged Ridge designed the mounting side to suit a wide range of stock configurations rather than one specific rifle, and each rail ships with a general-purpose hardware kit.

The practical benefit beyond fitment is that once a rail is on the rifle it stays useful. The bipod comes on and off in seconds via its quick-detach clamp, so one bipod can move between several rifles as long as each has a rail — which is usually cheaper than buying a second bipod.

The 2-1/8 inch length is the compact option, sized to fit the fore-end of a typical sporter stock without running past the barrel channel.
