The long-range hunter's version of this scope. Mechanically it is identical to the MOA-XT model; the difference is entirely in what you are looking through, and that difference matters most in bad light.
MOA-C is a clean reticle by design — Nightforce's MIL-C pattern translated to minute of angle, with a floating center dot and marked stadia for measurement and wind, and no grid below the crosshair. Against a dark animal in timber at last light, a tree reticle puts a lattice of black lines over the exact part of the sight picture you are trying to read. This one does not. You give up quick holdover references in exchange for seeing the target.
That suits a particular workflow: range it, dial elevation, hold for wind, break the shot. The FieldSet elevation turret is built for exactly that loop — the dial and its zero stop reset in one action with whatever tool you have on you, so re-zeroing for a new load in camp is a two-minute job, and the exposed dial can be replaced with one engraved to your ballistics.
First focal plane means the reticle scales with magnification and its subtensions stay honest at every power. The cost is a reticle that gets thin when you dial the magnification all the way down; if most of your shooting happens near the top of the range, you are paying almost nothing for a reticle that never needs a conversion factor.
