The general-purpose NX6 with the quiet reticle. Mechanically this is the same scope as the MOA-XT version — same body, same first focal plane, same FieldSet turret. What changes is how much of the sight picture is occupied by lines.
MOA-C is Nightforce's MIL-C pattern rendered in minute of angle: a floating center dot, marked stadia for measuring and holding wind, and an open lower half. On a rifle that gets used at dawn, at dusk, and in cover — the conditions this magnification range exists to cover — that open sight picture is a real advantage. A tree reticle lays a grid across exactly the region you are trying to read when the target is dark and the light is failing.
The reticle scales with magnification because it sits in the first focal plane, so its subtensions remain accurate at any power. That makes it usable for measuring, not just aiming, which is the whole reason to accept a first focal plane reticle on a general-purpose rifle rather than a dedicated long-range one.
Elevation is exposed and runs through the FieldSet system: dial and zero stop reset in a single action with an ordinary field tool, and the dial can be swapped for one engraved to your load. The trade against the second focal plane version of this scope is the standard one — honest subtensions at every power, in exchange for a reticle that thins out when you dial the magnification down.
