The ATACR 5-25x56 F1 is the scope most people picture when they think Nightforce. It's the one that turns up on military contracts and PRS podiums, and it's earned that by being tediously difficult to break.
Nightforce builds the 34mm tube thicker than most of the industry, which is where the 120 MOA of elevation comes from — enough to dial well past a mile in most cartridges without a canted base. ED glass runs over 90% light transmission, and the DigIllum reticle is genuinely usable at last light rather than a glowing smear.
ZeroStop is the feature you'll use every single day: dial up, come back, and the turret physically stops at your zero. No counting revolutions in the dark.
First focal plane, so the MOAR reticle subtensions hold true at any magnification — you can range and hold at 9x the same as at 25x. That's the whole argument for F1 over F2.
At 37.6 oz it is not a mountain scope. If you're counting ounces for a backcountry rifle, look at the NX8. If you're building something to shoot at distance and want the reference standard, this is it.
