Description
Nightforce is unusually direct about the four-screw version: it will provide a lifetime of service for most applications. That is worth taking at face value rather than reflexively buying more fasteners. Four screws is not the budget option in this line — it is the default, and the six-screw exists for a narrower set of problems.
What you get for choosing it is a simpler installation with fewer fasteners to torque evenly, and slightly less weight on a rifle where the whole point of these rings is weight. The construction is identical either way: hard anodized 7075-T6 aluminum bodies with titanium crossbolts and jaws, which is how they hold like steel while weighing about half as much.
The 34mm tube is where this matters most. Large-tube scopes are heavier and have bigger objective bells, so they punish a mount that flexes and they demand more thought about ring height. Getting the rings light without giving up rigidity is exactly the problem this design was drawn to solve.
One planning note: Nightforce offers fewer height options in 34mm than in 30mm, so measure your objective clearance before ordering rather than assuming the height you want exists. And if you later want a bubble-level top half, it must match this four-screw pattern.
